I have been involved in the World of Dogs for over 30 years. I had my first business in Kent, which was a specialist domestic dog supplies shop. In that period I was very involved in rescuing and rehabilitating many ill treated and discarded dogs of various breeds all of which I re-homed to some wonderful families.

In 1980 my husband and I were the founders of The Greyhound & Whippet Shop. Many people will remember us from all the happy times we spent in the evenings and weekends at Rye House, Hackney, Bury St. Edmunds, Peterborough, Cambridge, Ipswich, Milton Keynes and Aldershot greyhound tracks where we took our van and set up our mobile shop. In this time we also had racing greyhounds which we raced at Rye House, Harringay, Peterborough and Bury St.Edmunds. Over the years our ex-racers became our pets in addition to our parrot, cats, Corgi's, German Shepherds and Lurchers.

My commitment to rescue associations, has over the years increased so much, so that I put part of my profit back into the business of finding homes for the unfortunate racing dogs that deserve a chance to enjoy family life after racing.
